OUR PAST PROJECTS
OUR PAST PROJECTS
MAY 2024 - FEBRUARY 2025
The world is changing quickly and significantly. Today, it has become extremely difficult to keep up with the changing world, innovations, technologies, and social trends. At the same time, something, like our body, feelings, or, in many ways, ethics, remains unchanged over centuries and millennia, ceasing to meet the requirements of the modern world. Nevertheless, humanity continues to develop rapidly, and we are rushing into the future along with it. But how prepared are we for the future, all together and each of us individually? What world will we find ourselves in tomorrow, and what world will we leave to the next generation? What external and internal challenges await us, and how can we respond to them? In the series of group meetings of this project, we will look at these and other questions through the philosophical lens of progress in a bold attempt to obtain new answers.

Each meeting of the Meetings With Meaning Series is a guided conversation on one of the topics, the significance of which is beyond doubt. The thought-provoking conversations on life-related, existential, and even sometimes deeply philosophical topics, which were specially selected for the audience, help participants see and reevaluate elements of their mentality.

This series of 18 group meetings provided a platform to explore people's diverse attitudes toward fundamental ideas that form the bedrock of their worldviews. Each session focused on a specific idea, offering insight into how we interpret and relate to that idea, which in turn defines our beliefs, values, thoughts, and behaviors, ultimately shaping our lives. Through engaging discussions, participants could explore various perspectives, understand their implications, and decide whether to maintain or change their stance.
Also, as part of the series, the participants were introduced to the concept of mentality, and the theory and practice of mentology. The author of mentology, Alexey Murashov, participated in several meetings of the series providing extra insights and gave a Q&A session about mentology at the end.

DECEMBER 2023
Visiting five Ivy League universities and using mentology methods, we interviewed regular students on the campus streets to gain deep insights into their beliefs, values, views, fears, hopes, and other aspects of their mentality. Learning about their mentality helps with understanding the younger generation as such and predicting social and political dynamics in the next 30 years.

JANUARY 2023 - JANUARY 2024
This sequence of 47 group discussions was organized and conducted in the Philosophy Meetup group in 2023. The events aimed to spark thoughts, challenge unreflectively accepted beliefs, and help participants reach their own consistent conclusions on the topics they were interested in. The range of topics included philosophical, cultural, psychological, existential, and other types of questions. The broad range of questions resulted from the participants' requests, points of interest, lack of clarity, or disagreements. Some of the questions had high actuality for specific participants or the whole group, which showed the importance of the questions and discussions around them for individuals and society for resolving interpersonal and social conflicts rooted in beliefs, values, principles, views, and other manifestations of mentality.
Also, due to the high diversity of the group participants, this series of discussions allowed us to indicate and validate some hypotheses, including that the content of mentality is similar despite the differences in the language, culture, welfare, politics, history, religion, and other aspects, mentality works identically in different cultures, countries, nations, regions, and probably civilizations. That makes adaptation and successful application of mentology possible in any place in the World.
